Compact Media Converters

About our Compact Media Converters

The MCT serie includes compact media converters which support from 100Mbps via 1000Mbps to 10Gbps fiber Ethernet. This converters are around 40% smaller product than the converters in the CVT serie. And This series realize lightweight and electric power saving also. MCT serie includes various model which can satisfy different needs such as speed, distance extension, media conversion, management and so on.

External Battery Backup

The external battery backup unit, EBU-120, is an optional compact device that is capable of connecting external battery with a switch to reach power redundancy. That is, EBU-120 is rendered a bridge between battery and switch. Upon power failure, the external battery actuates automatically with supplying 12V DC power. After power source from adapter is restored, EBU-120 would change over the power source from battery to adapter and recharge the battery immediately. EBU-120 also designed with a protection mechanism to avoid damage due to incorrect installation or operation, such as polarity reverse or short circuit. Moreover, the condition of battery is fairly clear via LED indicator showing its immediate status.

Connection Technology System SFP (Small Form-factor Plug-in) transceivers can be mixed and matched on a given switch to maximize flexibility. However, the connection and associated port at the remote end must match the chosen SFP connection type. CTS SFP transceivers can be used in those CTS Switches and Converters which support SFP modules.
